I was born in Buffalo, NY, the youngest of four children. My father worked for the New York State Thruway and I remember a time when we'd have to be quiet during the day because he was working midnights. But he keep working hard and retired when I graduated high school. My mother is a teacher, a substitute now, but once full time before my sister was born. I grew up in the suburbs of Buffalo, went to high school in the once "safest city in the US." I went away to a small private school in Pittsburgh, PA for college. I majored in Film and Video Production met some great friends and great teachers. I completed my thesis film in April, 2004, a 5 minute film about a young woman's first major decision about relationships, and graduated in May, 2004. Two weeks later I had moved back home with my parents to attend graduate school at that same town I went to high school in (now third safest city in the US). I am enrolled in a one year masters program, but am considering the idea of staying to complete an MFA rather than an MA.
